Caroline Hollis is a Research Officer in LSIA. Caroline comes to the Institute with a strong track record of work in curriculum and assessment in schooling. She has most recently worked in DET, firstly with schools in the Metropolitan Region as an education advisor and then in Organisation Transformation supporting HR initiatives for preservice and beginning teachers. She has also worked at the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (formerly QSA) on assessment initiatives that delivered standards-based assessment resources and PD workshops for teachers.
Caroline’s portfolio of research in the Institute includes funded large scale studies in literacy education, assessment and curriculum innovation. Other current funded projects include a study of teachers’ writing practices, and a further national study of reform in initial teacher education, with a focus on assessment and standards.
